Impressive. Perhaps moreso than that time Eugene Volokh beat a UCLA campus parking ticket. Regardless, this should go to the top of your CV.

This makes me want to go to law school

Dude, you are my phucking idol.

Reminds me of the time one of my best friends from law school got shafted by some sheisty contractors who were jerking him around to the tune of 10k. He prepared a scorched earth demand letter that was just unbelievably thorough and terrifying.

3 days later he received a check for the full amount.

Reminded me, as does your example, of the need to aggressively confront people who are trying to screw you; doing so does not quite come naturally to me, and it is something I am working on.

    Admiration for you!

Nicely done. If my Sony eBook dies, I’ll know who to turn to…

You realize that now everyone with the slightest grievance is going to come to you, requesting that you write them an angry letter.

    Thanks everyone!

Some googling reveals the Volokh story, which is pretty badass.

Ben, this is exactly why I’ve never taken any steps to get myself admitted to the California bar and don’t plan to do so…

Nicely done. I have a $4.52 check framed on the refrigerator – from my economically inefficient (but pleasing) battle with the power company.

What’s that I see? Commissioner Gordon has lit the Bat-Signal. The world may once again need your help:

Well, if bro read my blog, he’d know what to do. But he doesn’t. That’s what happens when you’re an a-lister and you don’t keep up with us z-listers…

(of course, I’m sending him a link.)
