TK/B/B: Ishmael Reed doesn’t mince words.

Ishmael Reed, This Poetry Anthology I’m Reading

this poetry anthology
i’m reading reminds me
of washington d.c.
every page some marbled
trash. old adjectives stand
next to flagcovered coffins.
murders mumbling in
their sleep.

in the rose garden the
madman strolls alone. the
grin on his face just
won’t quit
